I just got these in the mail a couple days ago and I love them. Before, I was always loosing bobbins or mixing up similar colors because i had no organized way to keep the thread spool and the matching bobbin together. This gadget solves that problem! I did run into one problem. I keep my thread on a display rack on my sewing table, and I realized that if I put the bobbin buddy in the middle hole ( the one the dowel on my display rack usually went into) then I could no longer keep my thread on the rack. I tried and tried to figure out how to solve this problem. Then AH HA!! I got it. Most of my thread has 5 holes in the top, so instead of using the middle hole for my bobbin buddy I used one of the others which freed up the middle hole for my rack and TA DA,? I can still use my rack AND my bobbin buddy. Unfortunately if your spools only have one hole then my idea wont work ?

I know other things work to hold bobbin and thread spool together, but I really, really like this. SO handy to keep quilting bobbins together with the matching thread. I keep all my non-quilting threads in a thread box and their bobbins in a bobbin box. I use these to organize my quilting thread and in the future, will re-organize them to match the bobbin buddy color with the TYPE of quilt thread. Since these do not fit in my thread box, I use an old jewelry display to hang the thread.

To be honest, I wasn’t sure if I was going to like these. I am pleasantly surprised. They hold the spool and bobbin together, which is a plus for when I travel with my machine.
I do some work with various thread (cotton, all purpose, quilting, etc.) And for some projects, such as my all cotton and quilting, I like to keep those thread spools separate from the others, so they do not go on my pegged thread holders.

Once I used these I thought, why didn’t I know of these before?!?
My spools and bobbins have never been more organized! No more searching for the correct bobbin for my thread.

They are perfect when you have limited storage/crafting space. Easy to use if you have arthritis or limited hand usage.

I am planning on getting more when I start to embroidery.

Love these little bobbin buddies. For their size, they are extremely sturdy. I’ve used them for years and never had one break. They fit my smaller bobbins and also work great on my jumbo size bobbins. It makes it so easy to grab a spool of thread and have the matching bobbin right there. It also helps with “clutter” around the machine since you don’t have bobbins scattered everywhere. Definitely recommend. The only problem is that spools with the bobbin buddy attached won’t fit in normal thread holders that have lids.

Finally a way to keep them together easily. It was very snug putting the bobbin on. But everything holds together. The thread and bobbin can still unravel easily so be aware.

Such a simple fix to searching for the bobbin to match the spool! I’m going to hang them on hooks in a peg board in my sewing room. Easily see the colors of the thread with it facing you! Will be ordering more for sure
